Jessica Svenmar took up the post of Regional Manager for PostNord TPL in Region South in June last year. Her background in different areas of the logistics industry spans over 25 years. Jessica, among other things, has experienced the digitization of warehouses as a supplier of IT systems, she has worked in distribution, transport and logistics. How was the past year and what makes the logistics industry so interesting?
– I'm passionate about logistics and sustainable solutions. The logistics industry is a hungry sector that is frequently involved in driving forward innovative solutions that also border on other areas, says Jessica.
Working closely with the customer is the key to success
Jessica explains that logistics is so much more than just shipping and warehousing. It concerns everything from returns and customs to inventory management, value-added services and transport management. The key is to be responsive to all of the customer's needs and to develop together with the customer over time.
– As a full-service supplier in 3PL, you could say we are not just the customer's extended arm, but an extended body. We are the contact point that the customer needs to grow. Our size, flexibility and knowledge enable us to offer what the customer needs. We are in constant dialogue with our customers. If new needs arise, we are always there, ready to capture and find new solutions.

PostNord TPL's unique ability to work both broadly and in the long-term is one of the most distinctive features of the organization. Likewise, a dedicated staff with a friendly attitude, something repeatedly emphasized by customers of PostNord TPL in customer surveys.
– There are very few who have the capacity possessed by PostNord TPL. We have the ability to invest on a large scale. This distinguishes us both as a full-service supplier and as a 3PL partner that is truly at the forefront of sustainable logistics solutions based on the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
A Nordic offering opens up for the whole of Europe
Jessica emphasizes the opportunities of Region South now also operating across Öresund, from Köge in Denmark, since PostNord TPL became Nordic in 2023. She describes that the Danish part of the region is strengthening the offer.
– We have a large number of customers in the grocery industry, the security sector, fashion and lifestyle, as well as a number of e-commerce retailers who have chosen Postnord TPL as their logistics partner on both sides of Öresund. There is a great attraction in the Nordic, Jessica says and continues:
– Cross-border cooperation gives us further opportunities. Different markets, rules and conditions make us stronger. New customers in other segments bring us even more experience and knowledge. There are many customers who need to gain a foothold in the Nordic region, and Region South is a strategically good point in this area.

An interface makes the relationship with the customer seamless
– We are an interface to our customers. We are strategically located geographically, but the solutions throughout TPL are always equally accessible to our customers and our expertise is the same everywhere. We have a large product portfolio and a strong offering. We are responsive to our customers' needs. Onboard and offboard customers are our expertise, areas where we have developed standard interfaces to systems and simpler processes.
"Logistics is a competitive advantage"
What are the challenges facing PostNord TPL and the entire logistics industry in 2024? Jessica emphasizes that challenges also provide new opportunities to grow and develop innovative solutions.
– Going forward, we will continue to develop and deepen our collaborations with new and existing customers. Logistics is a competitive advantage. With AI support and new automation solutions the supply chain can be smoother and increasingly efficient. However, competence and means are needed to manage, develop, and stay in lead. With Postnord TPL’s size, our strong customer base, wide Nordic offer, and experience, this is what we as 3PL offer our customers. We are always happy to welcome new collaborations with customers who want to work over the long-term and with a strong sustainability profile to increase their competitiveness.
Jessica concludes that there is always reason to make the transition to a strong logistics partner.
– When the situation is challenging, when you have growth plans, when you need temporary extended storage, when you want to develop your logistics to achieve more environmentally friendly and sustainable logistics. There is every reason to join forces with us. Together we are strong!
