With a sustainable facility, PostNord TPL and Husqvarna step into the future
Just over a year ago, Husqvarna moved into a new modern warehouse in Stigamo, where PostNord TPL operates the automated facility for spare parts and accessories. A boost for Husqvarna, but also for PostNord TPL's staff.
– We have been managing Husqvarna's warehouse since 2018, but the former industrial premises were not adapted for the purpose. The new facility has automated systems, which means a different way of working. There is less forklift driving, for example, which also means a better working environment, says Sylvia Sundell, Regional Manager at PostNord TPL, Region West.
To increase well-being, a gym has been installed, and the open layout provides a good overview and visibility. The automated systems in the warehouse are controlled by a complex IT setup, where the system suggests suitable packaging. Sealing, labeling, and sorting are also done automatically. Furthermore, the warehouse is energy-efficient, with updated lighting and a lower heating demand.
– We have learned incredibly much throughout the entire process, and many have taken a great responsibility in working on this project, Sylvia concludes.
