Bokus, Kristian and record-breaking quality

Picking accuracy has never been better – and customers have never been more satisfied. Behind the success of Bokus and Akademibokhandeln’s deliveries stands a dedicated team – and one of the people who truly embodies the work is Kristian Granberg. The results are no coincidence, but the fruit of strong commitment, precision in every order, and a constant drive to work smarter and even better.

When TPL took over operations for Bokus one and a half years ago, Kristian came along from the previous warehouse. In total, he has worked with Bokusgruppens’s books for three years – and during that time, he has had only one client.

– I feel very strongly about Bokus. I’m drawn to the books, and I try to do my very best every day, whether it’s six in the morning or three in the afternoon. I’ve always had the drive to create results in the group I’m part of – and that hasn’t faded over the years, says Kristian.

The passing years are most noticeable on paper. At 74, he is one of the warehouse’s most experienced employees – and one of the most dedicated. After a long professional career, including 30 years at Posten AB where he worked as both Sales Manager and Regional Manager, he initially chose to retire. But he soon missed the sense of belonging and teamwork.

– I’ve always had a lot of people around me. In the end, I felt that I wanted to come back and be part of a team again. I have a passion for staying active.

A packing expert with the customer in focus

At the warehouse, Kristian is known as something of a packing expert. He is the final link before the package leaves the building with the driver – and he sees it as his responsibility to ensure that every delivery meets the highest standards.

– I know I’m efficient when it comes to sealing and packing – that’s where my strength lies. But it’s not just about speed. It’s important that the order is complete, that the package is properly packed, and that it holds up all the way to the customer. There are many steps before it reaches the recipient – and I’m the final checkpoint.

His background in sales and customer responsibility is clearly reflected in his way of working. For Kristian, every parcel is more than a box – it’s a promise to the customer.

It’s also a mindset shared by both TPL and Bokus. Their collaboration is characterized by a shared ambition to develop and improve. One concrete example is their work with packaging materials, where dialogue between the warehouse and Bokus has led to changes that have both increased efficiency and strengthened delivery quality.

– I’ve worked a lot with process improvements before, and it’s second nature to me. It can be about how we move around the warehouse or how packaging materials are used. Bokus is very responsive and great at taking our suggestions on board. You can tell they genuinely want to improve, Kristian says.

Teamwork behind the record-breaking results

That the improvement efforts are paying off became especially clear when Bokus recently treated the team to coffee and pastries at the warehouse – and at the same time announced that picking quality is better than ever.

– It was a very thoughtful gesture and greatly appreciated. I believe the success lies in the fact that we’ve streamlined the work and reduced unnecessary steps. But above all, it’s about getting the staff on board with the changes. When everyone is pulling in the same direction, things really start to happen.

From Bokus’ perspective, the appreciation is clear:

– We see a clear improvement in both picking quality and delivery precision. It’s evident that the team at TPL takes great responsibility for the entire customer experience – from the first pick to the finished parcel. Kristian’s commitment and attention to detail are a great example of the work that makes a difference every day, says Sandra Egardt, Logistics Manager at Bokus.

For TPL, Kristian is living proof that experience, a sense of responsibility, and job satisfaction are invaluable assets – and that in the end, quality is always about the people behind the delivery.
