How PostNord TPL strengthens Zalando’s growth journey in the Nordics

Since October 1, PostNord TPL have been responsible for operating Zalando’s central warehouse in Brunna, north of Stockholm. At 50,000 square meters, the warehouse is Zalando’s logistics hub in the Nordics and one of our largest assignments to date. From here, fashion and lifestyle products are shipped quickly and reliably to customers throughout the Nordic region when they shop at Europe’s leading digital multi brand destination.

The logistics center in Brunna is a central part of Zalando’s pan-European logistics network, which includes 12 facilities in seven countries as well as 17 return centers. Every year, millions of customer orders are handled here, and normally around 7 million fashion and lifestyle items are stored at the site.

The partnership between PostNord TPL and Zalando is a win-win for both of us. With our tailored and efficient solutions, we are upgrading and futureproofing Zalando’s customer experience through our broad Nordic logistics offering. This enables Zalando to continue developing efficient and reliable deliveries to its customers in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.

A successful and growing collaboration with Zalando

We have already been responsible for Zalando’s returns handling at our 25,000 square meter warehouse in Ljungby. Taking over the operation of the warehouse in Brunna was therefore a natural step in our already successful collaboration. In the expanded partnership, local expertise is leveraged, and the supply chain is made more efficient.

– With the ambition to constantly develop and improve the Zalando experience for our customers, the collaboration with PostNord TPL is central. The Nordic hub in Brunna helps us deliver the fast and seamless service our customers expect. Together, we are improving the overall shopping experience for customers in the Nordics, says Neil Bennett, VP Logistics Operations, Zalando.

Platform for continued growth

For us at PostNord TPL, the assignment is both a strategic investment and an operational milestone. The focus is on future-proofing the warehouse operations in Brunna to ensure stable and cost-effective performance, while at the same time developing the warehouse as an attractive workplace. The ambition is also to attract more customers to the site, which is an important platform in our network, and thereby continue to strengthen our role as the Nordic leader in e-commerce logistics.

– It is fantastic to be able to develop e-commerce logistics and the customer experience together with Zalando. With tailored solutions that strengthen competitiveness, we hope to soon have more customers on site in Brunna and help set a new standard for third-party logistics in the Nordic market, says Andrew Kristensen, CEO of PostNord TPL.
