PostNord TPL and Bokus – logistics that match the pace of e-commerce
Just over a year ago, in early spring 2024, Bokus launched a new logistics setup with PostNord TPL. Within just a few months, a new automation solution was implemented at TPL’s Händelö 3 unit in Region East, and more than 40 new employees were welcomed to TPL.
– We were grateful that TPL could take on our entire solution – both from a system and volume perspective. The fact that we were up and running so quickly, with minimal impact on the flow, is incredible, says Sandra Egardt, Logistics Manager at Bokus.
At the same time, around 42 employees transferred from Bokus to PostNord TPL – a significant responsibility that was handled with care.
– We didn’t just take over the automation solution, we also welcomed over 40 new employees to TPL. Ensuring a smooth and secure transition for everyone was another key challenge, says Pontus Mjösberg, Production Manager at Händelö 3, Region East.
“It’s a strength when a customer has such a clear logistics vision”
Bokus’ ambitious logistics vision requires a logistics partner that is equally forward-thinking and attentive to end-customer needs – which is why they chose PostNord TPL as their new logistics partner.
– It’s a real strength when a customer is so clear about their logistics vision. That has created the right foundation for our collaboration from the very start, says Pontus.
A tailored logistics solution
The logistics solution is designed for a fast-moving flow, with a large share of products handled through cross-docking.
– Delivering on our promises – both in terms of quality and lead time – is central to everything we do. That requires a strong logistics partner that can live up to those expectations, says Sandra.
Collaboration and structure
A close and transparent collaboration has been crucial from day one. Weekly meetings, monthly summaries, and quarterly strategy sessions have helped create both structure and development.
– Our job is to stay one step ahead – especially during key periods like the start of term and the annual book sale, says Pontus. That’s when it’s vital that both systems and people are in sync.
Logistics as part of the customer experience
For Bokus, logistics isn’t just a function – it’s a major part of the customer experience. With record-high customer satisfaction and less than 1% picking errors, the investment has delivered clear results.
– Logistics is the heart and lungs of our operations, says Sandra. In recent months, we’ve received all-time high customer feedback – it’s a clear sign that we’re on the right path together!
