Building the logistics of tomorrow

At PostNord TPL, we work purposefully to refine our processes and strengthen our delivery capabilities – every single day. With a shared focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous learning, we are driving development forward through our work with Operational Excellence.

Over the past year, several key initiatives have taken shape and delivered tangible results – from data-driven problem solving to training efforts across the company. Our goal is clear: to create even more value for our customers and reduce waste.

Shared tools and smarter collaboration

One of our focus areas has been to expand the use of the Andon, a tool for fast problem handling and data-driven improvements. Through workshops and pilot programs in multiple regions, both new and experienced employees have shared insights and worked together.

– When people from different regions with varying experiences and perspectives come together, we increase our chances of finding better and more creative solutions, says Adam Nilsson, Production Manager in the South Region. It strengthens our team spirit and allows us to use our resources more efficiently.

Andon makes it possible to get immediate assistance at the workstation without having to look for responsible personnel – saving time and reducing workflow disruptions. With precise data on recurring issues, we can also target improvements where they make the biggest impact.

Best Practices – from local solutions to common standards

Identifying and developing effective ways of working is a key part of the journey toward Operational Excellence. Instead of each site creating its own solutions from scratch, the focus is on evaluating and further improving existing enhancements.

– Our mission isn’t to reinvent the wheel, but to make sure that smart solutions benefit more people, says Anders Karnstedt, Operation Excellence Manager. By collecting, comparing, and refining solutions together, we create a stronger shared way of working – without losing the local perspective.

Training future leaders

In addition to improvements in production, we are also investing in the development of our leaders. Throughout the year, we are running internal training programs in our production system, which includes tools such as 5S, PDCA, and various process analysis methods. This helps our leaders better identify waste, eliminate root causes of deviations, and improve flow across our sites.

– It’s both inspiring and educational to build a shared understanding of how we can work even smarter together, says Emelie Karlsson, Production Leader in Region West.

Moving forward together

We believe in the power of collaboration and in continuous improvement as the key to long-term success. Our work with Operational Excellence is proof of that—one step at a time, with customer value, quality, and engagement in focus.
